Kids (ages 4-12) will love Kidtopia with entertaining and educational crafts and activities. And teens can hang out at Vibz, and free hotspot with games, computers, movies and more.

And parents, if you’re more interested in unwinding, the expansive sandy beach is perfect for sun bathing. The Del offers an award-winning spa and rejuvenating yoga classes on the sand. Or just, sip a margarita at one of The Del’s many oceanfront restaurants. There truly is something for kids of all ages.

FOURTH OF JULY

On Independence Day, Coronado Island celebrates with an annual parade along Orange Avenue, featuring more than 150 bands, floats and groups. Additional festive activities take place throughout the day including a fun run/walk, rough water swim, art-in-the-park and a concert at Spreckels Park. The day concludes with a spectacular fireworks finale over San Diego Bay. Click here for a full schedule of events.

Hotel guests can kick off the festivities early with a free family Beach Party on Saturday, June 30 from 7pm to 10pm. All resort guests staying overnight on June 30 are invited to celebrate right on the sand with a live band, recreational activities, fun games for children and a spectacular fireworks show.
