Ocean Ballroom
The stunning Ocean Ballroom features panoramic views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean, delicate crystal chandeliers, a built-in stage, and luxurious decorative accents. Originally called the "theatre," this grand space sits directly beneath the hotel's iconic red turret and has been the site of fabulous parties and performances since 1888.
This space was refreshed in 2024 including the removal of non-historic accents, refreshed wall coverings and carpeting, removal of a non-historic back-of-house area to increase the square footage, and restoration of the historic stage.
During the restoration, an original 1888 mural – a hand-painted fresco-secco – was discovered and restored in place in the ballroom's entry ceiling.
