What to Expect During Your Visit

It’s time to create new Del memories. Hotel del Coronado and Beach Village at The Del are open. In an effort to maintain the health and safety of our guests and Team Members and in accordance with California and San Diego County regulations, we have modified some of our amenities and offerings.

Self-parking will be available in our north parking garage, located off R.H. Dana Place. Valet service is not available at this time. Parking rates.

Check-in is located in the Garden Patio of the Victorian Building. If you are a Hilton Honors member, we encourage you to take advantage of a contactless arrival and departure with Digital Key (sign up for free).

Beach Village Guests

Beach Village guests check in at the Beach Village Welcome Center located off of the main drive. Self parking is available at the north parking garage. Valet parking is not available at this time. 

All Beach Village pools are open. Please note that pool cabanas have been removed to allow for more lounge chairs. In compliance with state guidelines, all hot tubs are closed.

Beach Village guests also receive complimentary Del Beach sand chairs and umbrellas. Windsor Cottage and Windsor Beach Club are closed.

Safety Guidelines

Face coverings that cover the nose and mouth are required in all public areas, except when dining at one of our restaurants or maintaining a 6-foot distance from others at the pool or on the beach. Complimentary masks are available at the Front Desk.

As we are taking steps to ensure everyone’s safety, we ask our guests to be mindful and cautious. Do not visit the resort if within the last 14 days you: have been sick or had any of the symptoms related to COVID-19 or have been exposed to confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19. While at the resort, please ensure you are washing and sanitizing your hands frequently, wearing your mask while walking the grounds, and do not have any unnecessary contact with anyone outside of your immediate family.

Travel Advisory: Announced November 13, California has recommended that anyone arriving from other states or countries, including returning residents, should practice self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival. This does not apply to individuals conducting essential travel. Please note this is highly recommended but not mandatory.

Hilton CleanStay with Lysol Protection

As part of the Curio Collection, we have implemented Hilton CleanStay with Lysol protection to deliver an industry-defining standard of cleanliness and disinfection. Developed in consultation with global and local public health authorities (including the WHO and CDC), key features of Hilton CleanStay include: guestroom door seals to indicate your room has not been accessed since it was cleaned; extra disinfection on high touch areas; removal of excess in-room amenities; guest-accessible hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes throughout the resort; contactless check-in/check-out; innovative disinfection technologies; and more.

In Your Guestroom

In accordance with Hilton CleanStay protocols, extra linens/pillows, robes, throw pillows, most paper amenities, and pens have been removed from all guestrooms. We are not providing daily housekeeping services during this time. Extra towels and amenities will be provided to last the duration of your stay instead of being replenished daily. Any additional items needed are available by request and will be delivered outside your door.

When you arrive at your room, a Hilton CleanStay room seal indicates that no one has accessed your room since it has been thoroughly cleaned. If a team member needs to enter your room, they will only do so when guests are not present.

Dining Options

Seating at our dining outlets is currently outdoors and has been arranged to accommodate physical distancing. Menus will be displayed or available digitally via QR code with single-use menus provided upon request.

Sun Deck, Serẽa, ENO Market & Pizzeria, Babcock & Story Bar, Beach + Taco ShackSheerwater Breakfast, and Sundae’s are all open. Please click an outlet for current hours and offerings.

For your convenience, overnight guests will be provided access to an online to-go ordering system for select dining outlets (currently Beach + Taco Shack and ENO Pizzeria).

In-Room Dining and Crown Room Brunch are not available.

Our Team Members

Team members have received an extensive orientation on our new procedures and protocols. In addition, team members are required to perform self-screenings at home and a contactless temperature check at the Team Member entrance before beginning work. During their shifts, Team Members are encouraged to wash hands/disinfect frequently, maintain physical distancing, and limit in-person interactions. Face masks are required for team members at all times while in guest-facing areas.

Property Enhancements

As part of our ongoing Master Plan, the following areas are currently closed for enhancement work:

  • Fitness Center (opening late 2020, if health regulations allow)
  • Ice House Museum (opening early 2021, if health regulations allow)
  • Lower level retail shops (opening spring 2021; The Signature Shop and Brady’s for Men are open off the Garden Patio)
  • Victorian lobby, front porch, and south entrance drive and walking paths (opening May 2021)
  • Ocean Towers guestrooms (reopening as The Views, summer 2021)
  • 142 new residential rooms and suites, and a conference center on the south end of the resort (opening in 2022)
